Office Manager/ Promotions Coordinator
ZGS Providence, a demanding, fast paced,
Spanish language television station is seeking a full
time Office Manager/Marketing and Promotions Coordinator.
As Office Manager the prospective candidates
day-to-day duties will include but will not be limited
to reception, phones, clerical work and upkeep of office.
You will be the first point of contact, manage the front
desk and assist with the writing, proofing and editing
of various documents. You will also handle administrative
tasks necessary to run the front office operations.
There will also be instances of scheduling
appointments, writing correspondence, dealing with high
profile community representatives and assisting in daily
issues pertaining to General Manager’s role in
managing the broadcast station.
The Marketing & Promotions Coordinator
oversees all aspects of the station’s marketing
and promotions operations, as well as for the station’s
public image and interaction with the community. They
are responsible for planning and implementing the promotional,
advertising, and public relations operations of the
station in order to increase audience, revenue and community
awareness.
Candidate should be dynamic, multi-task oriented, flexible
and have an excellent command over the English and Spanish
language (both written and oral).
Must meet tight deadlines; ability to work independently
and as a team player; skills must include MS Word, Excel

Community Affairs Director
The Community Affairs Director will collaborate
closely with General Manager of Spanish-language television
station to strengthen station’s community presence.
This person’s primary responsibilities will be
to: develop and maintain partnerships with community
organizations that serve Washington DC region’s
Hispanic community; serve as primary point of contact
for community organizations for all station events,
festivals and outreach campaigns; develop and expand
station’s outreach and educational initiatives
on behalf of Telemundo’s viewers; create all written/press
materials and presentations for station community/outreach
initiatives; attend community oriented off-site events
which may include evening and weekend work; work closely
with General Manager to develop station’s on-air
educational programming, generate creative story and
program ideas, and research potential sponsorship opportunities;
create educational campaigns on behalf of region’s
Hispanic community.
Candidate must be able to adjust work
schedule to accommodate station and departmental needs.
Strong communication/writing skills and a strong commitment
to making a positive difference in the community are
a must as well as the ability to effectively interact
with community leaders. Experience with Community Affairs
and/or involvement a plus. Working knowledge of Spanish

Job Description
The Marketing & Promotions Coordinator
oversees all aspects of the station’s marketing
and promotions operations, as well as for the station’s
public image and interaction with the community. They
are responsible for planning and implementing the promotional,
advertising, and public relations operations of the
station in order to increase audience, revenue and community
awareness. Therefore, it is important for the Marketing
Coordinator to interact and work closely with the Sales
Team and General Manager. The Marketing Coordinator
works directly with the other stations’ Marketing
departments in order to coordinate company-wide promotions,
as well as to share ideas, strategies, and any other
valuable information relevant to the company’s
overall marketing strategy. This position reports directly
to the station’s General Manager.
Responsibilities
The Marketing Coordinator has a wide
variety of responsibilities within the station, ZGS
and the Telemundo Network including but not limited
to the following:
- Managing the day-to-day operations
of the marketing department
- Managing the marketing budget
- Implementing the Telemundo Network
programming and marketing strategies
- Working with local, regional and national
media partners
- Overseeing the station’s public
relations initiatives and operations
- Managing the station’s advertising
campaigns and materials
