Ron’s Desk |
Summer
is an exciting time at ZGS as our stations head out
into the community to take part in local festivals and
community events; a time when our commitment to localism
is most evident. And with La Feria de la Familia scheduled
in five markets throughout the summer and early autumn,
summer is truly our busiest time of year. From Ft. Myers
to Boston we’re taking part in community initiatives
and initiating community partnerships; building playgrounds,
walking to raise money for Parkinson’s and breast
cancer research, helping communities prepare for Hurricane
season, receiving awards and promoting literacy and
La Buena Vida. With the expansion of local program
Salu2 Nueva Inglaterra, throughout New England,
and the premier of local program Que No Ves Somos
Tres! in El Paso, and the upcoming launch of the
11pm news in DC, ZGS is stronger than ever in our communities.
It is our profound commitment to service, localism,
and our Hispanic heritage, that distinguishes our stations
in each community. Thank you all for all that you do
to make a difference. Have a wonderful summer!
