| WNEU Boston caught up with Aneudy Lara at the Dominican Festival on August 16 at Franklin Park. Lara is a member of the Miami band Local 3, and plays “Mocho” in Más Sabe el Diablo. He hails from New England and was pleased to celebrate the festival’s 29th anniversary. The free event was filled with contemporary performers of salsa, merengue and bachata. |

| Every Year the Multicultural Centre of Southwest Florida gives away school supplies and back packs to more than 2,000 children in need. This year was no different. Students from all over the area stood in line with their parents on August 2 at the Harborside Event Center to receive the school supplies. They also participated in fun activities and games, received free eye exams, haircuts and ice cream. WWDT Ft. Myers-Naples was the only Spanish-language station supporting this amazing event. |

VIVA 900 participated in the 26th Annual National Night Out a unique crime and drug prevention event on August 4. Participants met at the Langley Park Community Center. Neo Lobo, Mavi Baez, German Chavez and Indira Terrazas broadcasted the afternoon show live on location. Mavi Baez also emceed the event. There was music, games, rides and plenty of food. |

This is an annual celebration where community leaders gather to recognize and honor Latino leaders in the area. Congratulations to the Latin American Community Center for its 40 years of continuous advocacy on behalf of the Latino community in Delaware and surrounding areas. |

| VIVA 900 Presents Legal Clinic |
Viva 900 participated in the third legal clinic together with representatives from several Latin American embassies. VIVA’s radio program Viva mi Tierra broadcast live from the clinic which was held at Adelante Financial in Washington DC. The focus of the event was to help provide support to the community through information and services, provided free to everyone in attendance. Topics included asylum, citizenship, deportation, TPS, work visas, change of address, and residency. Good music, entertainment, and free gifts and services provided a good time for all. |

WTMO Orlando Experiences Record Participation
August 22
Over 21,000 people attended and more than 150 companies participated in WTMO Orlando's La Feria at Osceola Heritage Park. The event commenced with a ribbon cutting ceremony where local leaders praised WTMO and its continued commitment to the community. Raymond Arrieta, comedian and personality from Telemundo's morning show Levántate, kept the crowd laughing with his amusing stand-up act. Vanessa Hauc of Al Rojo Vivo and Jessie Camacho of Descontrol signed autographs and interacted with fans. The Telenoticias Orlando news team reported live from the event and the Entre Nos team motivated the crowd. Musical performers included Grupo Mania, Xtreme, P1, Latin Wave and Prodigio Claudio. As in years past, the Osceola County Health Department gave free back to school immunizations. There were a variety of booths offering free health screenings including eye exams, diabetes screenings, cholesterol checks, and HIV testing. Publix Sabor, WTMO and holaciudad! presented Mi Pronóstico Del Tiempo, where participants taped their own versions of a weather report. The event has become the summer tradition that everyone looks forward to in Orlando. |

KTDO El Paso is Recognized by the City
September 13
KTDO El Paso's La Feria took place at the El Paso Convention Center with over 7,000 participants and 97 companies. KTDO’s event was honored by Mayor John Cook and the City of El Paso with a proclamation which recognized La Feria de la Familia as the official start of National Hispanic Heritage Month activities in El Paso. The entertainment stage was emceed by Rocio Madrid and Claudio Herrera hosts of KTDO’s local show Que No Ves Somos Tres. Telemundo stars Penélope Menchaca, host of the wildly popular dating show 12 Corazones and Ana María Polo, host of the hit show Caso Cerrado interacted with fans. The live version of 12 Corazones succeeded in making two love matches and was a crowd favorite. Vikki Carr, Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement award winning singer and El Paso native surprised the crowd with an impromptu performance. Event attendees received valuable information and resources throughout the day including free flu shots, eye exams, blood and glucose screenings, and weight management tips. A new addition to this year's event was the Miss La Feria de la Familia Pageant. The panel of judges which included Ana María Polo crowned Jessica Mata as the first Miss La Feria El Paso. The day concluded with a tremendous performance by renowned Mexican Cumbia group Chicos de Barrio. |

September 27
More than 10,000 people attended WRDM/WDMR Hartford/Springfield's 4th Annual La Feria de la Familia at the Connecticut Expo Center in Hartford. Over 65 companies participated. Raymond Arrieta entertained the crowd with his hilarious performance. Penélope Menchaca took the stage with Arrieta as master of ceremonies. Omar Morales former host of Salu2 Nueva Inglaterra was a surprise guest and Yanira Gonzalez of Telemundo New England’s Telecam reported from La Feria. Musical guests included NG2, Charlie Cruz, El Chi Chi de La Bachata, Pana and Veronica Robles. This year the event brought Zumba to the dance floor. United Health Care offered free health screenings including diabetes screenings and cholesterol checks while other exhibitors provided informational services and free consultations. WRDM/WDMR and holaciudad! presented Mi Pronóstico Del Tiempo. |

WRMD Tampa Celebrates 5th Annual Event
October 4
WRMD Tampa celebrated their 5th Annual La Feria de La Familia with over 12,000 people and more than 80 participating companies at the Tampa Convention Center. The stage was emceed by Penélope Menchaca and Luis Lopez, President of The Hispanic Alliance of Tampa Bay. Telemundo star Ana María Polo signed autographs and greeted fans. Sony Music recording artists NG2 and Charlie Cruz along with reggaeton sensation Miguelito thrilled the crowd with their Latin beats. The Kids Stage presented educational activities from the Museum of Science and Industry, dance performances from Americas Ballet School and Hip Expressions, and a puppet show from the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Various health organizations provided complimentary health screenings including cholesterol and blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings and CPR demonstrations. Tampa's Institute of Technology Inc. gave away scholarships and the Museum of Fine Arts and the Salvador Dali Museum provided information about upcoming exhibitions and educational programs. WRMD, State Farm and holaciudad! presented Mi Pronostico Del Tiempo. |

WZDC Washington Offers Information, Entertainment and Activities
October 18
WZDC Washington, DC hosted the 7th Annual La Feria de la Familia at the DC Armory with a wide variety of information, entertainment and activities for the entire family. The event celebrated Hispanic Heritage month and included over 100 participating companies. La Feria attendees received free health and wellness check-ups, product samples, prize giveaways and legal and financial advice. The Demonstration Stage offered activities ranging from capoeira to belly dancing. A participant favorite was the opportunity to tape a customized weather report in the Telenoticias Washington mini-studio. Penélope Menchaca emceed the event and hosted a live version of 12 Corazones with local participants. Raymond Arrieta entertained the crowd with his hilarious stand-up act. Fans were excited to see Angeline Moncayo who plays Marina in the popular novela Más Sabe el Diablo. The Network stars and the Telenoticias Washington news team signed autographs and took pictures with fans. La Feria participants also enjoyed the chart-topping hits from salsa performers Carolina La O and Frankie Negron. Negron concluded the event with his most recent hit Adicto A Tu Piel and surprised the crowd with renditions of old favorites. The excitement culminated with the annual grand prize giveaway of a Toyota Yaris. This year's lucky winner was Manuel Pábora. |

WWDT Ft. Myers-Naples is now available on Comcast’s channel 15 in the Cape Coral area. The inclusion further expands WWDT’s coverage. Residents of the Cape are delighted that they will now receive the local Telemundo station which includes En Casa con Martin Ycaza, a local magazine show that airs weekdays at 11:30 am and VIP, a local entertainment program that airs weekly on Sundays at 11:30 am. WWDT has experienced steady growth and is recognized in the community for its local leadership and involvement with signature events. |

WTMO Orlando presented the First Annual Triunfadores Awards Luncheon on October 1 at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center. The awards luncheon celebrated Triunfadores, those who have triumphed and made a difference in the community. Triunfadores is also a weekly segment that has been a part of WTMO local news, Telenoticias Orlando, since 2005. Categories and winners included: Angel Martinez, La Rondalla de Orlando, Arts and Entertainment; Dora Tora, La Prensa Orlando Newspaper, Business; Jose Maunez Cuadra, University of Central Florida, Education; Mildred Fernandez, Orange County Commissioner, Government and Law; Mirna Chamorro, Orange County Health Department, Health; Carmen Carrasquillo, Osceola Council on Aging, Non-Profit; Father Miguel Gonzalez, Diocese of Orlando, Of the People; Camille Alicea, Kissimmee Police Department, Security; and Senator Mel Martinez Triunfador of the Year. WZDC Washington Holds Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest
WZDC Washington in association with NBC 4 hosted the annual Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest Reception on September 30 at NBC Studios in Washington, DC. The reception honored the 7 essay finalists from area high schools who gave their opinions on why Hispanic Heritage Month is important. Each year WZDC and NBC 4 partner to offer students in the Washington, DC metropolitan area the opportunity to win scholarships, prizes and recognition through and essay contest focusing on Latino culture. Essayists are asked to write a 1,000 word response to the question, “Why is Hispanic Heritage Month Important?” The essays are then sent to a panel of judges, consisting of community leaders and partners, who select the finalists in the competition. The top essayists are then invited to the reception where they are encouraged by local media personalities and celebrated by teachers, mentors and family. The top 3 students were asked to share their essays with the audience before being awarded their educational awards. The first place winner also receives a brand new laptop. This year’s winner was Cindy Zavala. |

KVDA San Antonio hosted a highly anticipated launch party and fall preview on October 1 at their station. The staff at KVDA was proud to give clients, agencies, community leaders and elected officials, a close look at what ZGS Communications is all about, and a sneak peek of Telemundo's exciting new programming. The party also highlighted holaciudad! launching soon in San Antonio. Guests left knowing that KVDA and ZGS will continue to strengthen the community and enhance local partnerships through programming and events. The entertainment of the night was the always delightful local band Elementos, bringing precisely that, an element of fun and great spirit to the event, making the launch party and fall preview at KVDA an exciting evening to remember. |

KNSO Fresno Sets-up Camp at the Big Fresno Fair
KNSO Fresno participated in this year’s Big Fresno Fair from October 7-18. The Big Fresno Fair was founded in 1884 is the Central Valley’s largest annual event attracting over half a million people every year. KNSO hosted three events at the fair. On October 10 over 200 people attended the Mexico vs. El Salvador viewing party at the Sports Zone of the Fair. Those in the VIP area received KNSO hats and Mexican National Team t-shirts. Viewers also participated in a raffle where jerseys and soccer balls were given away. The following day KNSO launched holaciudad! by hosting the Mi Pronostico Del Tiempo mini-studio with fair attendees taping their own weather reports that they could later view on the website. The last day of the fair KNSO sponsored Lucha Libre. The crowd was entertained with mini-luchadores and famous wrestlers from Mexico. The turnout was fantastic and the first 200 people received commemorative t-shirts. KNSO’s booth was extremely popular during the entire Big Fresno Fair. |

The event was held at Guarapo, a local restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, where everyone enjoyed great food, beverage and entertainment which included a belly dancer, salsa dancers and a video presentation of all that WZDC Washington, DC has to offer. |

WNEU Boston Energizes Latino Family Festival
WNEU Boston participated in the Comcast Latino Family Festival at Fenway Park on August 2. WNEU local personalities kept the crowd motivated and provided information on stage about Telemundo programming. Angel Salcedo, from Encuentro Latino greeted the crowd, Johnny Peguero provided Red Sox updates and promoted El Reporte de los Red Sox, and Telecam star Yanira Gonzalez was the perfect choice to speak about Miss Universe. The event brought together organizations throughout the Latino community and included live musical performances by New York based band Bachata Heightz, and the main attraction salsa legend Victor Manuelle. The event also included a major health fair aimed at increasing the community’s awareness of important health issues. Last but not least, a little entertainment was provided by Manny Carrasco and 2Parranda Latinas, Las Parranderas. |

KTDO El Paso Participates in the Whole Enchilada Fiesta
The Southern New Mexico cool breeze carried the wonderful smells to every hungry soul at the Whole Enchilada Fiesta in Las Cruces September 25-27. Over 20,000 people enjoyed a terrific weekend that was loaded with fun, music, and, of course, the world's largest enchilada. KTDO added to the festivities by giving away prizes and showing their neighbors to the north just how much fun they are. Viewers took pictures for holaciudad! and appreciated the KTDO hats and Más Sabe El Diablo visors to protect them from the hot sun. Jessica Mata, Miss La Feria de la Familia, made her first public appearance during the Whole Enchilada Parade on Saturday. She was aided by Rocio Madrid and Claudio Herrera from Que No Ves Somos Tres, KTDO’s local show. When the sun went down, the fun didn't stop, as thousands danced the night away to music from Los Lobos, The James Douglas Show and Michael Salgado. It was three days that will be remembered for a long time. |

Telenoticias Washington Deportes from El Salvador
This fall, Gustavo Cherquis, of Telenoticias Washington travelled to El Salvador to report on the important soccer match between El Salvador and Mexico. He broadcast exclusive interviews, images of Carlos de los Cobos, the coach of the national team in action and reactions from the Salvadorian fans. Gustavo captured all the action prior to this crucial game on October 9, which was then broadcast throughout the DC metropolitan area. Mexico secured a spot in the World Cup with a 4-1 win over El Salvador. |

In addition to posting local news, events and information to holaciudad! each station is using the site to brand and market local initiatives. Orlando included community voting for its annual Triunfadores Awards. Hartford, Orlando, Tampa and Fresno hosted “Mi pronóstico del tiempo”, an interactive weather station, at the local La Feria de la Familia. holaciudad! has also been very successful with its contests, each one increasing traffic steadily. Marc Anthony in Philadelphia; Wisin and Yandel in Orlando; “Paquetazo” for the Mexico vs. Colombia game in El Paso; and tickets for DC United vs. Real Madrid in Washington DC have been among the most popular giveaways.
